Interesting Week

Now, I am not what I would call a full-time, capital C Cyclist. I only mostly commute to work, I have some sad-looking panniers, I have a cheese-burger bell and I'm fairly certain I barely know what parts of a bike are which when pointed to. Thankfully, you don't actually need to be a bike repair guru to seem like one to the common man (read: recreational cyclist).

Downer Post

       Not that I am even sure more than 3 people casually read this, I must apologize for not updating. A few weeks ago, something deeply personal befell my best friend. It was so tragic and stressful that nothing, not biking or knitting, could help. I felt like I was helpless, I could do nothing for them and that if something this horrific could happen to someone I love so much could happen...Why bother doing anything?

Mondays are Rude.

Mondays tend to be pretty crappy, unless you are on vacation. In which case, please take your happiness elsewhere, leave us poor, working slobs alone. Also, take with you... people that think interrupting a transaction for a phone call (without an apology!) is acceptable behavior, people that are shocked that a few sheets of crumpled newspaper will not protect their fine china from Great Aunt Dolores from certain doom, and those that seem speechless at the idea that scotch tape will not, in fact, keep their packages closed for longer than its stay at my store.  I don't mean to sound mean, but...seriously? So many deep sighs, so, so many.

New Year, New Blog, New...Something

Last night I was so much fun! I was able to have an early Mother's Day dinner with both my mom and little sister at the local Mexican restaurant El Charrito AND see +Eleanor Blue of  Taking the Lane fame (amongst other things.)
